Hi! I'm Dodger. I teach in-person kickboxing and POUND classes in the Snoqualmie Valley of beautiful Washington state — no experience required.
Classes
Choose your vibe — same 50 minutes, very different workouts.
Women's-only: a space to learn real technique and work the bag at your own pace. No intimidation, no egos, no showing off — just women showing up for each other. In class you'll drill real strikes (jab, cross, hook, elbow, uppercut, and a variety of kicks) in combinations on a heavy free-standing bag. It's non-combat, so every punch lands on the bag, never a person. Depending on class size, you'll either share a bag with a partner and trade off who works and who steadies it, or have one to yourself. New to it? You'll fit right in.
Rockout + Workout. The original POUND workout — an electrifying cardio jam session where the music leads. You'll use Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks, to combine cardio, strength training, and plyometrics, all set to your favorite soundtrack. The class is designed for any age and any stage of fitness.
Rock + Reset. Focused, high-intensity drumming balanced with restorative movement, rhythmic breathing, and meditation — a deeply intentional workout for the whole person: mental, physical, and emotional. Same Ripstix, added mindfulness. There's space for you here — come as you are.
Kids aged 6–12. Kid-friendly choreography and group activities fuse movement and music to build focus, coordination, physical fitness, and teamwork. Same Ripstix, rockstars in training. Runs on occasion throughout the year — keep an eye on the booking page for dates. Hosting something special? Email dodgerfit@gmail.com to request an event.

Who's Teaching
My kickboxing story starts in 2017, when my other business sponsored a bag at a local fitness studio. The sponsorship included three classes and a pair of gloves, so I went to see what I'd put my name on. I was skeptical. I figured kickboxing would be too aggressive, too intense — not for a body like mine. Boy, was I wrong. It turned out to be the best stress relief I didn't know I needed, and a genuinely fun workout. Even better, it came with a community of people who showed up for each other without judgment.
That studio was run by a friend who got me into all of this. She first put the gloves on my hands, and she's the reason I'm doing any of this. It's where I discovered POUND®, first as a student, then teaching it myself starting in 2018. I joined Tour Crew in 2021 as a brand ambassador. Since then I've added POUND Unplugged, which weaves breathwork and meditation into the drumming, and Generation POUND, which uses rhythm and play to build coordination and focus in kids. In 2026 I earned my personal training certification through NASM and opened DodgerFit. Back at that first studio, I came for the workout, but what I didn't see coming was the people: a community that shows up for each other, meets you wherever you're starting from, and turns something you do into something you belong to. That's what I'd love to share with whoever walks in — and I hope that's you.

Kickboxing Details
Gloves are required for kickboxing — you're hitting a bag, and bare knuckles and bag vinyl don't get along. One pair lasts a long time.
Look for: lightweight 8–10 oz training gloves. The lighter
weight gives you better tactile feedback for technique, builds cardio endurance, and
reduces arm fatigue.
Skip: big bulbous sparring gloves, 12 oz and up. They're too
bulky, trap heat, tire you out faster, and dull the feedback you need to learn good
technique.
Optional: wrist wraps for extra support — they go under
your gloves, not instead of them. If you're buying wraps, 180 inches (4.5 m) is
the standard length; if you have smaller hands, 120 inches (3 m) may be more
comfortable.
Already own gloves that aren't quite what's listed above? If you want to start kickboxing right away, you're welcome to use them to get going and upgrade later — just know that gloves outside the recommendation are used at your own risk. Still have those pink and black Century gloves from The Studio kickboxing days? They'll work just fine. The ones I'd caution hardest against are fingerless gloves: they leave your knuckles exposed, and participants often scrape them on the bag and end up with open wounds.
Buying the Intro Kickboxing Pass? Don't shop for anything — I'll have your gloves ready at the start of class.
Heads up: on Amazon, choose the 8–10 oz size before checkout — it may default to a heavier one.
